Many Moons

The 1st version of this had 13 fucks in it, an instant reaction to the death of Scottish musical giant Jackie Leven. I had seen him a few months earlier in Strathpeffer, a Tuesday night in a cafe playing to 18 people he was stunning, saw him more recently in Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh, he'd shed a lot of weight and said it had fallen off as he stopped the drink. Looking back he was not in good shape but he still played a blinder, a man who touched me with his music profoundly, a man who made music for all the right reasons all his days. This song is the first time I heard him and the last time I saw him, I put my faith in him.

ETHER

Means to an end, there are all sorts of friends and the smart ones keep on moving.

SOUTHERN COUNTIES GIRL

Love song, you can never have enough love songs. Love can crush the class barrier as long as it can escape and is allowed to blossom.

SAD BUT IT'S TRUE

Can't argue it's true, a beautiful place just spoiled by humans.

KIDS TODAY EH !

i phone world, it's where the kids live, live in the nano second, I can't relate to the concept, constant contact with everyone,

Jeebus thats some head bender !

THE BIG WIND

The North West corner of Scotland is God's own country, a wonderful place to live, hard but rewarding in many many ways,

always a song for my long suffering Zeen.

REIK

A run through Reik, inbetween the passing trains, t-shirt by James Mazzeo

SKY IN THE EYE

She got a crack on the head, its frightend her off ever doing anything ever again.

So no party at her's the day Thatcher dies, just need to go to the Market, party there no doubt.

GEOGRAPHY SONG

Still a strong memory, my father being paid off twice as the Thatcher revolution turned the country over

to management to manage, a disaster then and a disaster now. No forgiveness ever, her or her followers.

May You Never

A wee run through this John Martyn tune, played from the learnin' off the great Jim Hunter many moons ago.
