BERT JANSCH

Neil's Favourite acoustic guitarist, just happens to be Scottish. A wonderful man.

Neil has ancestors buried in Forres graveyard, that's 15 mile or so from Inverness. Deep in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

thanks Mike, Neil's Scottish roots will be detailed in the next day or so  .

Perhaps the most famous Neil in Scotland story is the busking at Central Station Glasgow in 1976, asked some guy in the street where the bank of Scotland was next thing hes playing Old Laughing Lady. Behind an open guitar case, deerstalker pulled down, an ever growing crowd,   " They say hes a millionaire ...... should be jailed " the auld guy in the street crowd as Neil packs up and wanders off without a pick up. Neil played the first " Change Your Mind " in Glasgow in 92 with Booker T & the MGs ......... he rememberd it on the Q&A on the Canadian TV Much Music Chanel. They gave a day to Neil TV Neil chatted for the last hour or so, in answering a question from Scotland, he said some taper has that out there and it kills him to think of how bad it is.( its not that bad and a thrill to hear)
